Our local group, AS Rzeszow, has started preparations for AirCargo Challenge competition, which will be held next year in Aachen, Germany. Through recruiting, trainings, and cooperation our aim is to assemble a team capable of surpassing the achievements of our previous aircraft.
Strong start into new semester
Our group started this academic year with a highly successful recruitment of new members for the AirCargo Challenge team. We believe that new, young, ambitious people is half the battle for this year’s competition. We want to create the team capable of building larger and more demanding model than our last year’s aircraft.
How will we do it?
Firstly – through cooperation. Our crew holds now not only experienced persons whose successes cannot be overlooked, but also newcomers who will learn under their guidance. We already started a training program, focused on composites and their usage in modern aircraft construction. We hope this investment into the most valuable resource – the people, will pay off.
Secondly – thanks to experience on last year’s competition with SAE Aerodesign West, which was a huge success, we want to take advantage of this to turn the knowledge we gained into even more mature, polished design, which we will present this academic year.
Our big plans for the future
We hope this contest will literally be a challenge, that we can rise to. However, we know best that without risk there is no reward. We don’t want to rest after last year’s success, but instead, try to make it again. We’re committed to surpassing our achievements with our fresh, expanded team, guided by strong, experienced leaders.
