EUROAVIA’s Welcome Event was based on strategic promotions, including engaging presentations and a lively “Tag der studentischen Initiativen” (TDSI) where students get the possibility to get insights into the different student organisations. These efforts successfully laid the groundwork for the main event, attracting students to learn more about EUROAVIA’s mission and join the Welcome Event.
As around 50 attendees arrived, they were greeted with an overview of EUROAVIA’s local and international organisational structure. This provided insights into how the organization operates on both levels.
Throughout the event, participants were immersed in EUROAVIA’s vibrant world, from local excursions to international workshops. The prospect of attending prestigious events like ILA in Berlin and the Space Expo sparked excitement among newcomers, showcasing the breadth of opportunities available within the organization.
A highlight of the evening was the spirited challenge offering an ILA ticket as the prize, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. Participants eagerly took part, showcasing their enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
As the event progressed, attendees learned about the opportunities EUROAVIA offers to build a network within the aerospace industry. This included direct industry contact, connections with fellow members, and access to alumni networks, providing valuable insights into career development and industry connections.
Towards the end of the evening, EUROAVIA’s lineup of events scheduled for the year was unveiled, offering attendees a glimpse into the exciting opportunities to come. From workshops to excursions to Barbeque evenings, EUROAVIA’s calendar was packed with activities designed to enrich the student experience and foster professional development.
Finally, as the night came to a close, conversations flowed freely over snacks and drinks. Attendees mingled, exchanging ideas and forging connections in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, solidifying their place in the EUROAVIA community.
