Space Meetings Veneto 2024

June 11, 2024June 11, 2024 by Communication WG

Space Meetings Veneto is a specialised event that fosters connections and collaborations within the space sector over three days. The event brings together upstream and downstream suppliers, aeronautics companies, investors, buyers, research centres, government agencies, and space agencies. Its goal is to facilitate business and knowledge exchange through networking sessions, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and investment opportunities. By connecting various stakeholders, Space Meetings Veneto aims to accelerate innovation, drive industry growth, and create a dynamic ecosystem for the advancement of space technologies and applications.

One of the panels at the event was “DIALOGUE FOR INNOVATION 4: #GREENSPACE: Space Technologies to Support the Green Transition in Veneto.” This panel featured an engaging discussion on the initiatives being undertaken by companies and various entities to promote the green transition. The panel included participants such as Rita Steffanutto, Director of the Research, Innovation and Energy Competitiveness Department at Regione Veneto (Moderator); Carlo Bettanini, Scientific Coordinator at RIR & AIR, Università degli Studi di Padova; Carlo Moretto, Director of the Soil Quality Unit at ARPAV; Luca Stevanato, CEO of Finapp; Federica Fistarollo, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Stellar Project; and Amanda Román Navarro, a student representative from EUROAVIA.

As EUROAVIA, we had the opportunity to represent students’ perspectives on this important topic, highlighting how we are witnessing these transitions, how they are affecting our professional development, and the impact we can have as future employees in the sector. Some key conclusions from the panel emphasized that sustainability means doing things better and that achieving this goal requires collaborative efforts toward a common objective.
