As the academic year came to an end, our local board took the opportunity to wrap up our activities and prepare for the future.
We held our second general meeting of the year with our members, where we reflected on our work throughout the year, evaluated the current structure of our association and discussed our plans for the upcoming year. This meeting allowed us to review what we had accomplished or where we had fallen short, and strategize for the year ahead. It also provided a platform to elect our new local board members, bringing in fresh perspectives and ideas.
To celebrate the conclusion of the academic year and provide a chance to unwind after the stress from the final exams, we had our traditional closing barbecue in the backyard of our faculty building. This event served as a joyful and informal occasion where the outgoing board could bid farewell and officially pass on their responsibilities to the new board. It also offered a warm and welcoming environment for the new board to introduce themselves and build connections with the rest of the members. It was a time for sharing stories, celebrating our collective effort and building a strong team dynamic.
As we close this chapter, we woud like to extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to all EUROAVIA community and our outgoing local board, also expressing this year has been particularly special on behalf of AS Istanbul for hosting The Lustrum & EMEAC. Lastly, we look forward with great excitement to the opportunities that the new academic year will bring!
