October for our association is always the return to routine and, this year it was marked by the start of the Business Year with a new board. First of all, given that the academic year in Seville begins in September, we had to launch a huge marketing campaign in order to raise awareness about EUROAVIA among all the new students.
Once we started the activities, more students have expressed interest in joining our association thanks to word-of-mouth about our activities this month. In October, we had the pleasure of visiting the Morón Air Base of the Spanish Army, participating in the World Space Week organized by the CVA here in Seville, and having fun at our traditional barbecue.
The first event was the trip to Morón de la Frontera with around 60 members. They had the opportunity to meet members of the Spanish Army at one of the most important aircraft bases in our country, enjoying the experience of seeing the Eurofighter units.
On the other hand, the World Space Week was an excellent way to begin EUROAVIA Sevilla’s institutional engagements in our city, meeting with important companies, organisations, and associations of the aerospace sector. We must highlight the inauguration at the town hall and the visit to AERTEC Solutions, which took place just days after the CEUS opening, a new iconic site in the history and development of the aerospace sector in Spain.
Finally, we know that the social aspect of EUROAVIA Sevilla is crucial to keeping our association in the minds of students for the rest of their lives, which is why we organise the barbecue every year, an event where having fun and enjoying time with fellow students is the priority.
In conclusion, it has been a breathtaking month for the board, but all our efforts have clearly been rewarded by the laughter and excitement shown by our members.
