During the past Business Year, the AS Beograd team had the opportunity to organise the Southeast Europe General Aviation conference – SEGA 2024, with our long-term partner APS Aviation Parts Service. The SEGA conference was held from September 18th to the 20th. The first two days of the conference were hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Belgrade, while the third day took place at the sports airfield Ečka near Zrenjanin.
The goal of the conference is to bring together companies that have established themselves in general aviation and provide them with an opportunity to network. The SEGA conference focuses on connecting companies from North America and Western Europe with those from Southeastern Europe.
Some of the most influential companies in the world of general aviation participated in this year’s SEGA conference, and we would particularly highlight companies such as Boeing, Diamond, Lycoming, Concord, Lear Chemical Research Corporation, Tempest Aero, Adams Aviation, the Aviation Academy, PR-DC, Mind Aviation, Snap-on, and others. During the first two days, presentations were held by the conference’s sponsor companies. These companies had the opportunity to present themselves to the conference guests and answer questions related to their businesses. Additionally, over 120 B2B meetings and 5 panel discussions took place. The participants of the B2B meetings had the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange experiences. The panel discussions covered current topics in the world of general aviation. The most attended panel discussions were on the topics: Finding and Training Tomorrow’s Aviation Professionals and The Future of the GA Market in Southeast Europe.
During the third day of the SEGA conference, at the sports airfield Ečka, companies had the opportunity to showcase their practical capabilities. A flying program was also organized, during which conference guests had the chance to fly in sports airplanes.
The SEGA conference is the only general aviation conference in Southeast Europe. AS Beograd is proud that our efforts have been recognized and that we had the opportunity to bring ourselves even closer to the world of general aviation in this way.
