We welcomed December with an exciting “Space Talks” event! We delved into the depths of the universe with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Özel, one of the leading experts in the field.
It was a fascinating conversation filled with both science and mystery. While discussing topics such as dark matter, cosmic waves, and the mysteries of aliens, we felt the enlightening power of science and we increased our curiosity to discover the secrets of the universe.
Within the scope of Civil Aviation Days, Dilek Karabağlı, one of Turkey’s first female captain pilots, and Sedat Yalın Ahbap, the founder of SOLOTÜRK and demonstration pilot, were the guests of our event. SOLOTÜRK is a team that performs superior aerobatic shows with the F-16 of the Turkish Air Force.
During the event, we had the opportunity to listen to the rich experiences of our guests in the world of aviation, witness their career journeys, and learn both inspiring and interesting anecdotes about aviation. We also had the chance to listen to guests’ suggestions for passing on their love of aviation to younger generations and how they overcame the important challenges they faced in the industry.
We also had the chance to visit the TÜBİTAK Space Center, where we learned about space technologies firsthand. After getting to know the centre in detail, we were honoured with nice gifts. It was an inspiring day that provided attendees with an in-depth understanding of space exploration.
One of the most meaningful events of this month was the meeting with our valued sponsors, who have provided us with financial and moral support during this academic period and in the past. During this gathering, we had the opportunity to present them with appreciation plaques, discuss future projects, and listen to their valuable insights. Additionally, our members expanded their networks by establishing new connections.
That was all from AS Kocaeli̇ for this month, we had a lot of fun, and we hope other local bands will do great work this month as well. And finally, happy day to everyone.
