Hello EUROAVIAns!
We are more than halfway through our associate year, and it is going to get better and better. From workshops to space seminars, there is always something in AS Napoli’s agenda. Let’s take a detailed look at everything we ahve done so far and what is coming next.
3 March 2025 – Workshop “Houston we have a Project”
But the real excitement came in the afternoon, when the workshop turned into a design challenge! Participants had to put their newly learned skills to the test by designing an Orion capsule in the shortest time possible.
We were thrilled to have the support of our sponsor, Elegoo, who made it possible to give every participant the opportunity to 3D print their creations and some gadgets using the incredible Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro. A massive shoutout to Elegoo for contributing to this workshop and helping us turn our ideas into reality.
Our latest workshop took participants on an amazing journey into the world of 3D design with Fusion 360! With 25 enthusiastic participants onboard, we kicked off the morning session with an introduction to the software, guiding everyone through the basics of 3D modeling. To make it both fun and educational, we worked on creating a simplified version of the legendary Saturn V rocket.

8 April 2025 – Seminar “Humans in Space”
On April 8th, EUROAVIA Napoli hosted “Humans in Space”, a seminar dedicated to exploring the challenges and opportunities of human presence beyond Earth. The event welcomed over 100 participants, including students, faculty members, and space enthusiasts.
The seminar featured contributions from professionals and researchers working at the forefront of astronautics. Topics ranged from astronaut training and mission preparation to thermal-fluid dynamics in microgravity, deployable space structures, and the legal framework of future missions. Contributions came from speakers affiliated with ESA, CNR, MMAARS, and several academic and international organisations, offering a multidisciplinary view on what it means to plan for humanity’s future in space.

As part of a three-seminar series, Humans in Space also contributed to the recognition of 3 CFU for our university career, underlining our successes from an academic point of view.
The next event is going to be in May, and it is going to be the biggest of the year, a 10-day workshop with a secret topic that is going to be announced soon. So, stay tuned for all the updates on our social media if you want to join an amazing event and see you at our next newsletter!
