Every year, in EUROAVIA Terrassa, during the holiday season between semesters, we offer our affiliated members the opportunity to make a trip to a European country. This tradition exists not only to allow members to enjoy time together but also to help them build connections, acquire knowledge, and gain experience in the aerospace sector.
This year, we had the pleasure of visiting Amsterdam (The Netherlands). This trip involved activities such as visiting the ESA-ESTEC and SpaceExpo facilities, the Aviodrome and a guided tour of TUDelft led by Amanda Roman, former member of the IB.
At both ESA-ESTEC and SpaceExpo, we were shown various space missions and gained valuable insight into the cutting-edge research and technology behind Europe’s space endeavours. During the personalised visit, the affiliates could ask questions, explore their topics of interest in more depth, and even touch objects from real missions.
During the visit to the Aviodrome, we got to explore the evolution of aviation. The museum offers realistic models ranging from the first aeroplane to the most modern aircraft and has different interactive activities.

The guided tour of TU Delft was very enriching for all of us, as we got to see one of the most prominent aerospace campuses in Europe.

We also allowed students to enrich themselves with other cultural activities such as wandering around the streets of the emblematic capital, visiting Anne Frank’s house or discovering the nightlife of this European capital.
