Hello EUROAVIA! May has been an exciting and productive month for EUROAVIA Patras, and we are thrilled to share everything we’ve accomplished!
Fresh off our Easter break, we jumped right back into action to finalise preparations for our conference titled “Job Market: From Your CV to Entrepreneurship,” held on May 11th. This event was a collaborative effort with an external partner who connected us with an amazing panel of speakers: entrepreneurs who shared insights drawn from their personal journeys of launching startups. The conference offered valuable perspectives on how to develop a strong business idea, build on it, and navigate the entrepreneurial landscape. We also picked up practical advice on crafting standout CVs and developing a unique personal brand. The event was a resounding success, and we are already looking forward to organising more like it in the future!

Shortly after, our Rocket Project team finally launched the rocket they had been working on for months. It was incredibly rewarding to see their hard work take flight, literally! The outcome exceeded our expectations, and we are deeply proud of everyone involved. Naturally, we capped off the launch day with one of our signature fun nights to celebrate.

On Friday the 23rd, we had the rare opportunity to visit the Araxos Air Force Facility, an exclusive experience that had been in the planning for quite some time. This “Company Visit” gave our members a unique inside look at the operations of an air force facility, making it a truly unforgettable day.

The next day, Saturday the 24th, was packed with activity. In the morning, our Marketing Working Group took part in a specialised training session organised by the Communications and Design Working Groups of EUROAVIA International a session that we had requested and were thrilled to attend. Huge thanks to the trainers for their valuable insights, which we are already applying to improve our marketing strategies.

Saturday ended on a more emotional note with our second and final General Meeting of the academic year. Members came together to vote on the annual business and financial plans and, most importantly, to elect our new Board for 2025–2026. We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation to the current Board for their tireless efforts this year. Although their term isn’t over just yet, the realisation that their chapter is coming to a close brought a tear to many eyes. Despite the ups and downs, they have led AS Patras with resilience and vision, making significant improvements along the way.

And now, we’re proud to introduce our newly elected Board Members, following updates to the board structure:
- President: Spyros Stavrakis
- Secretary: Katerina Anastasaki
- Treasurer: Anthimos Papaleonidas
- Executive Member: Elena Mpardi
- Technical Director: Konstantinos Grammenos
Congratulations to the new Board, we wish you all the best and can’t wait to see the great things you’ll accomplish in the year ahead!
During the elections, we took a brief pause to share some exciting news: the application form for our upcoming international event, ExMEAC & AMEAC, would be opening very soon. As the countdown began, anticipation filled the room, and within just five minutes, all 60 available slots were filled! We were incredibly moved by the overwhelming response, and it gave us a huge boost of motivation to make this event truly unforgettable. Our Organising Committee is working tirelessly to ensure an exceptional experience for all participants, and we can’t wait to showcase our hospitality and spirit here in Patras!

That’s all from AS Patras for May. We’re proud to have kept our members engaged and inspired, and we’re looking forward to everything that’s still to come.
