July 1, 2025July 1, 2025 by Communication WG

From June 19th to 23rd, EUROAVIA members from all over Europe gathered in Paris for a Fly-In full of discovery, friendship and unforgettable memories. Organised by EUROAVIA AS Paris, the event was a unique opportunity to explore both the wonders of the French capital and its strong ties to aerospace engineering. With a perfect blend of culture, sightseeing and professional exposure, Fly-In Paris 2025 was truly a journey to remember.

Welcome and First Impressions
The event kicked off on June 19th with a relaxed welcome dinner at the accommodation. Pizzas were shared, conversations sparked, and laughter echoed as participants got to know each other. The atmosphere was casual and warm, setting the tone for the days to come. Later in the evening, participants had some free time to explore or simply unwind after a day of travel.

Exploring the South of Paris

On June 20th, the group started the day with a scenic walk through the beautiful Parc de Sceaux. The morning continued with a visit to EPF Graduate School of Engineering, home of EUROAVIA AS Paris. A guided tour gave insight into the school’s facilities and academic life.

After a lunch at the local CROUS canteen, the group headed to Paris Centre to visit the Eiffel Tower and see Notre-Dame Cathedral up close. The evening was again free, with many participants joining up to meet fellow EUROAVIAns from other AS, creating spontaneous moments of international bonding.

Aviation at its Finest : Paris Air Show
June 21st was the highlight for all aerospace enthusiasts, a full day at the world-renowned Paris Airshow. The morning featured an exclusive guided tour of the MTU Aero Engines stand, where participants engaged in technical discussions and saw cutting-edge innovations firsthand. In the afternoon, the group gathered for a memorable photo in front of the Rafale fighter jet at the Dassault Aviation stand one of the main sponsors of the Fly-In. The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to some free time to enjoy the Airshow.

After going back to the residence, the evening took a festive turn with the iconic Spirits Night, where participants shared drinks and traditions from their home countries. Being June 21st, the evening continued under the open sky with the vibrant Fête de la Musique celebrations across the city, including spontaneous dancing near the Eiffel Tower !

Art, Views and Goodbyes
The penultimate day, June 22nd, began with a visit to the charming district of Montmartre. Between the artists’ square, the view from Sacré-Cœur, and hidden streets, participants experienced a more bohemian side of Paris. The afternoon brought time to stroll through Paris Centre, stopping at the iconic Galeries Lafayette. As the sun set, everyone reunited for the Gala Dinner, a final shared meal filled with emotion, laughter, and reflections. The night ended with a walk under the sparkling Eiffel Tower lights, a fitting close to an incredible adventure.

Departures and Reflections

On June 23rd, participants gradually departed throughout the day. Goodbyes were filled with promises to meet again at future EUROAVIA events. The Fly-In may have ended, but the friendships and memories will last much longer.
