Every year, we traditionally offer courses on aviation and space at our school. In this November we organized these courses again. These courses cover a wide range of topics, from Basic Flight Principles to the use of Artificial Intelligence in Aviation. These courses, organized in collaboration with our club and professors, last approximately two weeks.
Throughout the training, we meet with students interested in aviation in many departments and classes. The main reason we conduct these courses is that, as one of the largest clubs in our school, it enables us to recruit new members for the teams that will apply to national and international competitions.
At the end of each training course, we evaluate the participants through small exams and assess their competencies. If they have applied to join a competition team, we look at their participation and exams.
The courses are primarily introductory-level training on topics used in competitions and unmanned aerial vehicle design, such as Flight Performance and Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Structural Analysis and Design, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Electrical-Electronics and Communications. The content of these courses included information on UAV production, flight controllers, flow and static analysis for design approval, and other topics that could be very important in competitions and professional life.

It would be wrong to think of these courses as only for participating in competitions. Through these trainings, we help students who have just entered university understand what is done in their departments, what they will encounter, and most importantly, find the area that interests them early on, thus assisting them in their decision-making and career processes.
Thanks to the feedback and experience we have gained from previous years, we have seen how the training provided by our club gives our members advantages in their internships. Knowing this also increases the interest of participants.

Among the most interesting topics of the 8-day training adventure were the courses “Biomimetic Smart Wings: Nature Inspired Intelligence in Aerospace” and “AI In Aerospace: A Real-World Case Study.” These courses were taught by our academics who are experts in their fields and have conducted research. This ensured that the training was delivered to the highest level of quality.
At the end of this exciting two-week training course, we prepared and delivered special online certificates to our participants. We wish them success in their academic careers.
