This academic year, the Euroavia Rzeszów kicked off with great momentum. The main challenge our team is facing are the SAE Aero Design 2026 competitions. Since the beginning of October, we have been working on an aircraft model that will compete for victory in Texas this April. Preparations are in full swing. Ahead of us are dozens of hours spent on calculations, simulations, design and assembly.
Of course, life in a student research group is not only about work. During breaks from aircraft development, we actively participate in events that broaden our knowledge and strengthen our ties with the aviation community. One of these was a meeting with Sławosz Uznański, a Polish astronaut and ESA engineer, whose story and achievements inspire the entire world of technology. His insights on preparing for space missions and work at the International Space Station gave our members tremendous motivation and showed how far passion for engineering can take you.
We also had the opportunity to visit the PZL Mielec facilities, one of our partners and key sponsors and pride in the Polish aviation sector. During the visit, we were able to see up close how modern aircraft are manufactured and speak with the engineers involved in their production. For many of our members, it was their first experience with the industrial side of aviation, which will certainly prove valuable in our future design work.
In November, we also carried out a recruitment of new members, bringing fresh energy, creativity and technical talent into the team. We expanded both the technical and marketing divisions, allowing us to work more efficiently and professionally across all areas.
It is also worth mentioning our participation in XChallenge, an event that brings together communities involved in modern technologies. During the expo, we had the opportunity to compete in robot fights, talk with representatives of technology companies and exchange experiences with teams from all over Poland. Our presence at XChallenge was not only a form of promotion for our group but also a great opportunity for networking and seeking new partners and sponsors who may support our journey to the competition in Texas.
To wrap up, Euroavia Rzeszów launched its activities with full energy. This year brings new promising opportunities and our team looks forward to further challenges.
