A Dynamic February for AS Terrassa

February was a very active and enriching month for EUROAVIA Terrassa, combining technical visits, international experiences, and new learning initiatives. Throughout the month, our members had the chance to explore different areas of the aerospace sector while also strengthening both professional and intercultural connections.

We started the month with one of the most anticipated activities: a visit to the Base Aérea de Zaragoza. This visit brought together a large group of members and gave us a unique opportunity to experience military aviation from a closer perspective. During the visit, participants could observe aircraft such as the F/A-18 and the A400M, learning about their roles and main characteristics. Being able to see these systems in a real operational environment helped us better connect our academic knowledge with real aerospace applications, making the experience both motivating and insightful for students interested in aviation and defence.

Later in the month, we organised our annual international trip to Brussels. The goal of this trip was to combine cultural discovery with technical and professional exposure. During our stay, we visited the Von Karman Institute, where we were introduced to ongoing research in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics, and Space Applications Services, which allowed us to learn more about real space projects and engineering applications. These visits helped participants understand how aerospace research and industry operate at an international level, while also encouraging curiosity about future career paths.

In parallel, February was also marked by our involvement in the organisation of the Iberian Congress together with other Spanish Local Groups. This collaboration aimed to strengthen the exchange between groups across the country and to promote future joint initiatives, representing an important step towards a more connected national network within EUROAVIA.

Finally, we also launched a new PCB design course for our members, focused on introducing basic electronics design concepts with potential aerospace applications.

Even though the course is still ongoing, it reflects the increasing interest of our members in gaining practical technical skills alongside academic studies.

Overall, February was a month of growth and exploration for EUROAVIA Terrassa. From experiencing military aviation up close, to visiting international research and space companies, and launching new internal training opportunities, our Local Group continues working to broaden the horizons of its members and strengthen their connection with the aerospace field.
