The weekend of the 14-15 of February, AS Cadiz, AS Valencia, AS Terrasa and AS Castelldefels organized a joint Iberian Congress in Madrid, bringing together 44 Euroavinas for a weekend full of unforgettable moments.
The congress officially started on Saturday with a welcome picnic, where participants had the opportunity to meet or reconnect with different members from various AS.
In the afternoon, a dynamic aeronautics-themed gymkhana took place around the city. This activity encouraged teamwork between new people, allowed participants to explore Madrid in a fun and interactive way, but also reinforced the EUROAVIAn spirit and cooperation and friendship. The day concluded with a group dinner with people and some free time, giving everyone the chance to continue sharing experiences in a more informal setting.
On Sunday morning, after breakfast, we had the chance to visit the Museo del Aire, where we had the opportunity to explore a wide collection of historic aircraft and learn more about the evolution of Spanish and international aviation. The visit was especially enriching thanks to the museum guides, some of whom were former air traffic controllers, whose deep knowledge and personal experience in the aviation sector made the explanations even more engaging. This technical visit added an aeronautical highlight to the weekend and reflected an academic and professional interest that united us as Euroavians.
The congress came to an end on Saturday afternoon with the departures, closing a successful weekend that strengthened the connection between Iberian AS and created new friendships.
