This month, AEROUBI & AS Covilhã organized a study visit to Toulouse, providing its members with a unique opportunity to experience one of Europe’s most important hubs for aeronautics and space. This initiative aimed to strengthen the connection between academic learning and the professional aerospace environment, offering students direct contact with world-class industrial and scientific institutions.
Visit to the Airbus Factory: Engineering at Scale
One of the main highlights of the visit was the tour of the Airbus manufacturing facilities, where participants observed the production, assembly, and testing processes of large commercial aircraft. This experience allowed members to better understand the complexity of modern aeronautical systems, industrial organization, and the importance of innovation, precision, and teamwork in the aerospace sector.
Airbus Museum: A Journey Through Aviation History
The visit also included the Musée Aeroscopia, where members explored the historical evolution of aviation and Airbus aircraft. Through iconic aircraft displays and detailed exhibitions, participants gained a broader perspective on the technological milestones and engineering achievements that shaped modern aviation, reinforcing the link between past innovation and future development.

Exploring Space at the Cité de l’Espace
Complementing the aeronautical component, the study visit also included the Cité de l’Espace, a renowned science center dedicated to space exploration. Interactive exhibitions, full-scale models, and educational content allowed students to deepen their knowledge of satellites, space missions, and human spaceflight, highlighting the close relationship between aeronautics and space engineering.
Looking Ahead
The study visit to Toulouse clearly reflects AEROUBI & AS Covilhã’s commitment to providing high-value educational experiences to its members. By engaging directly with leading aerospace industry facilities and science centers, this initiative strengthened students’ technical knowledge, motivation, and professional outlook. As the academic year unfolds, experiences such as this will continue to promote the technical excellence, ambition, and community spirit that define AEROUBI & AS Covilhã, while reinforcing its contribution within the wider EUROAVIA network.
