AS Patras March 2026 updates

March was a more than busy month for EUROAVIA Patras, as its members not only continued working on their Working Groups’ or Projects’ tasks, but also took part in engaging workshops, events, and company visits.

For the first time, our local group held “EUROAVIA Day”, an initiative aimed at informing attendees about EUROAVIA International and presenting the progress of each local Working Group and Project. The initiative proved to be successful, as all local group’s members who are also part of an International Working Group took turns presenting their roles and responsibilities. It not only highlighted EUROAVIA Patras’ active involvement in the International scene, but also gave participants great insight into the association. In addition, the event turned out to be an opportunity to recruit a few new members.

After EUROAVIA Day, the group went out to celebrate the new year with the traditional “Vasilopita cutting”. To end the day on a high note, the lucky members who found the hidden coins received gifts.

During March our local group also organized two particularly important and engaging workshops, “Design and 3D Printing Workshop” and “Leadership and Conflict Management Training.” The first helped participants become familiar with rapid prototyping and modern printing technologies, offering them the chance to improve their skills. The latter focused on what makes a leader stand out, while also engaging them in real-life scenarios where they had to resolve conflicts between colleagues.

Moreover, EUROAVIA Patras organized two company visits, both to airports. The first one took place at Athens International Airport & the old Ellinikon Airport, where members had the chance to become familiar with the air traffic control system and airport operations in real time. The visit to Megara’s General Aviation Airport was also a unique experience, as it included a tour of the local pilot training academies and an airport ground walk.
