March was a highly productive month for EUROAVIA Pisa, marked by important institutional achievements, technical training opportunities, and direct engagement with industry. Our members participated in a series of events designed to strengthen the foundation of our association while also developing skills that will support their future careers in aerospace.
The month began with an important milestone on March 3rd during our annual Budget Meeting. This gathering was more than just a financial review: while we officially approved the 2025 budget and the 2026 forecast, the highlight of the evening was the adoption of our new statute. This legal update officially transforms us into EUROAVIA Pisa APS, a status that allows us to register with the National Single Registry of the Third Sector, known as RUNTS. This marks an important step forward for our Local Group, and we celebrated the occasion with a group dinner after the vote.
On March 5th, our focus shifted from administration to engineering with a specialized seminar on Sensitivity Analysis for Aerospace Competitions. Organized in collaboration with the local MATLAB ambassador, the session explored how small variations in design parameters can drastically alter system performance. Through a case study based on real-world aerospace competitions, attendees learned how to measure these changes and optimize their projects

Our activities continued on March 11th with a visit to the SITAEL headquarters in Pisa. As a leading company in small satellite technology and a key part of Angel Holding, SITAEL offered our members valuable insight into the Italian space industry. We were honoured to be welcomed by Managing Director Marco Molina, a former EUROAVIA member, who spoke about the role student associations play in bridging the gap between university and the professional world. It was followed by a lecture on electric propulsion by Stefan Gregucci, Head of the Propulsion Division. The visit was further enriched by a guided tour of the company’s vacuum chambers and clean rooms, where we were able to observe engineers actively working on space hardware.

To conclude this intense month, we held a CV Project event on March 28th. Given the competitiveness of the aerospace sector, our aim was to help the members strengthen the skills needed to present themselves effectively to recruiters. Roberta Russo, the Chief of Staff at Farmigea, led a detailed session that covered everything, from the basics of resume writing to the complexities of job interviews and employment contracts. Participants brought their own CV and enhanced it during the event. It was the perfect way to conclude a series of events focused on building a stronger community and on supporting our professional development.

With many more activities already planned, we look forward to sharing more updates with you soon. So make sure to keep up with our news!
