Throughout February and March 2026, EUROAVIA Lagos successfully hosted a specialized three-week Aerospace CAD Bootcamp. Designed to bridge the gap between theoretical engineering and industry-standard design practices, the series took participants on a journey from basic modeling to flight-ready structural concepts.

Session 1: The Foundations of CAD The bootcamp kicked off on February 28th with Fadil Ojifinni, Founder of 3D Naija. This session focused on the fundamentals of Computer-Aided Design, establishing the essential mindset required for precision engineering and digital prototyping.
Session 2: Specialized Aerospace Applications On March 7th, Itunuoluwa Adeleke (Aerospace Engineer) led a deep dive into the specifics of Aerospace CAD. This session moved beyond general modeling, focusing on the unique constraints and requirements of aerospace components, ensuring designs are not only functional but airworthy.

Session 3: Hands-on Aerospace Workshop The bootcamp culminated on March 14th with an intensive workshop led by Victor Adeleke, a Mechanical Engineer from Proforce Galaxies. This final session provided participants with practical, hands-on experience in navigating complex assemblies and preparing designs for real-world manufacturing.
By the end of the bootcamp, participants from across the region gained a robust understanding of the digital tools that power modern aerospace innovation. EUROAVIA Lagos remains committed to equipping the next generation of engineers with the technical skills needed to lead the industry.
