It was in the year 2012 that Hollywood came along with a fresh idea that stuck inside the guts of popularity and media culture. After decades of films about The World War II, Nazis against American saviors, Nazis against Russians, Nazi zombies & Nazis against Tom Hanks, Hollywood came up with a film even more original and completely unrelated to the previous topics. It was the film Iron Sky, or “Nazis in the Moon”.
The film, apart from being actually bad in a humorous way, depicts a present world in which the n-words have been hiding in the dark side of the Moon for seven decades and now they are prepared to invade and “liberate” Earth.
However, in this article, I won’t review this film; I just wanted to let you know that this was what inspired me to continue with some conspiracy theories and show you some real Wunderwaffe related to space.
To begin with, UFOs and Nazis come a long way together. The first reports of German UFOs and flying discs are as old as the Nazis itself. This is confirmed by the fact that many sightings occurred during the air battles of the Second World War and after when the pilots who reported these sights were called “Foo Fighters” (Reminds you of something?).
Most of these sightings ended up being the Me264, the first jet fighter in history. However, during the 50s Italian engineer Giuseppe Belluzo (and Minister of Economy during Mussolini’s regime) referred to flying discs being designed in Nazi Germany during the war. A week after, German technician Rudolf Schriever claimed to have designed a “circular plane” with BMW at the end of WW. II However, no flying disc was ever discovered other than the one Avro Canada designed at the end of the 50s. (Perhaps they all flew to Argentina)
Another interesting German design is the solar laser. Sadly, we cannot mark this one as a conspiracy theory because it was a real intent such as the Amerika Bomber, the V2s, or the Me264. Thankfully, it was never built.
The idea of this solar laser was to put in orbit a concave mirror that would focus the solar rays towards a small area on the surface of the Earth, burning everything to the roots inside it. This weapon was possibly inspired by Archimedes Death Ray, which followed the same principle of a concave mirror focusing solar rays towards an objective, being it a Roman vessel instead of a largely populated area.
Thankfully, this death ray was never built, and no Nazi fortress has been found on the moon yet. Therefore, the only orbital apocalyptic weapons with a realistic probability of existing will always be the Rods of God, a topic that I think has already been talked about here.
