Last month, AS Lisboa concluded the scheduled activities for their members, namely field trips to two of the most prominent aerospace industries in Lisbon.
AS Lisboa organised two additional field trips, this time to two well-known companies that work closely with the association, OGMA and GMV.
During the visit to OGMA, students explored various areas of work within this MRO services company. From maintenance, through manufacturing to aircraft painting, OGMA allowed the participants on this visit to meet all the infrastructures used by the company to support services and full fleet support solutions to the civil and especially military customers around the world. During the visit, participants saw aircraft such as the Lockheed P-3C CUP+ ORION and Lockheed C-130 Hercules undergoing maintenance.
During this month, there was also time to participate in an Open Day at GMV Offices. It was a pleasure to explore the various markets where GMV is involved. Projects from AS Lisboa, RED and ATLAS, had also a moment to showcase their work developed through the year and connect with GMV employees for mentoring. The discussions with professionals from various areas gave the participants a clearer view of the challenges that also the company faces on a daily basis.
These two field trips are not the last activities that AS Lisboa has prepared for you. Stay tuned for more activities coming up until the end of the classes!
