This April, AS Leuven proudly organised its very first Aerospace Job Fair, a major step in our ongoing mission to bridge the gap between students and the Belgian aerospace industry. Held in the beautiful Machine Hall of the Thermotechnical Institute, the event gathered over 120 students and 11 companies and student organisations from across the sector.
From industry giants like Brussels Airlines, Sabca and Skeyes to innovative players such as Droneport, each company brought their own expertise and insight to the fair. Students had the opportunity to discover internships and job openings, ask in-depth questions, and connect directly with professionals from the field they aspire to join.
Apart from the companies, 2 student organisations also showed their ongoing projects. The first organisation, Be-Rocket, designs, builds and launches rockets and participates in rocket competitions. The second organisation, Aether, designs a windshield allowing Cubesats to re-enter into the atmosphere. Both are very interesting organisations, led by passionate students.

The energy throughout the event was incredible. Whether it was curious conversations at the company stands or spontaneous networking between students and recruiters, the fair became a true platform for connection and inspiration.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from both students and companies confirmed what we had hoped: this Job Fair was a real success. We’re proud to have created a space where industry and academia could meet, and we’re excited to make this a recurring highlight on our annual calendar.
