Hello EUROAVIAns! For EUROAVIA Kocaeli, May was a month full of inspiration, excitement, and pride.
The most significant highlight of this month was the 3rd Aerospace and Aviation Summit, which we proudly hosted at our university. From May 8th–9th, this major event brought together a wide range of industry leaders — from civil aviation to defence — including prominent company representatives, expert speakers, and professionals.
Throughout the two-day event, students had the valuable opportunity to engage directly with influential figures in the sector, listen to inspiring talks, and gain insights into both the current landscape and future of aviation. This summit not only enriched us technically but also deepened our passion for aviation and reinforced our determination to contribute to the field in the years to come. Its success was a great motivation for us and further strengthened our connection with the aerospace community.
May was not only rewarding academically and professionally, but also socially fulfilling. As part of our monthly member meeting, we enjoyed an unforgettable experience at the Fly in Cockpit Flight Simulation Centre.
Our members had the chance to fly a range of aircraft simulators — from large commercial jets like the Airbus A320 to smaller aircraft like the Cessna 172. With highly realistic flight scenarios, we not only learned a lot but also had a great time together. This fun and educational event helped us strengthen our team spirit and deepen our bond with aviation.
