1. Company Visit to INVENT GmbH
In early 2025, we organized a visit to INVENT GmbH, a high-tech company based in Braunschweig specializing in innovative lightweight structures made from composite materials. INVENT is a key supplier for the aerospace and automotive industries and plays a significant role in advancing composite technologies in Germany. Our members gained valuable insights into their production processes and current projects.
2. Regular Stammtisch Meetups
We continued our tradition of hosting regular Stammtisch evenings to promote internal networking and open discussion among our members. These informal meetings took place at our usual location, the bar “Expertise,” and served as a relaxed platform for exchanging ideas and planning future activities.
3. Visit to the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU)
Another highlight was an excursion to the BFU (Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung) in Braunschweig. The BFU is responsible for investigating civil aviation accidents and incidents in Germany. During the visit, we received an in-depth presentation on their investigation processes and toured parts of their analysis facilities.
4. Flight Simulator Experience at TU Braunschweig (IFF)
We offered our members the unique opportunity to take the controls of a full-scale A320 flight simulator at the Institute of Flight Guidance (IFF) at TU Braunschweig. This hands-on experience allowed participants to deepen their understanding of flight operations and cockpit procedures in a realistic setting.

Planning of the International Event: “Air, Space and Mobility”
Our team is currently focused on organizing an international symposium titled “Air, Space and Mobility”, which will take place in October 2025 in Braunschweig. Preparations are in full swing, especially regarding sponsorship acquisition, accommodation arrangements, event programming, and the development of the official event website.
Upcoming Activities
1. Extraordinary General Assembly – July 2nd
An Extraordinary General Assembly is scheduled for July 2nd, 2025, during which we will elect a new board. Our current president, Leoni, will be going abroad for a semester, so the position will be open. Other roles, such as treasurer, are also available for candidates. This marks an important step in ensuring the continuity and growth of our local group.
2. International Symposium in October
We are looking forward to welcoming EUROAVIA members from all over Europe to our international event in October. The symposium “Air, Space and Mobility” will feature guest lectures, company visits, cultural activities, and much more. We are excited to offer an inspiring and diverse program here in Braunschweig.
