EUROAVIA Izmir – “The Path to Becoming a Pilot” Event

This month, as EUROAVIA Izmir, we organized an event titled “The Path to Becoming a Pilot” for our members who are interested in pursuing aviation careers. We hosted Elif Sude Gün, a student pilot who is actively continuing her training, as our guest speaker.

During the event, various topics were discussed in detail, including the stages of pilot training, theoretical and practical education processes, medical certificates, and different license types. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the pathways to becoming a pilot in Türkiye and around the world from private flight schools to airline pilot training programs directly from someone with firsthand experience.

Throughout the session, our members asked technical questions and gained comprehensive insights into the challenges and advantages of a piloting career, training costs, flight hours, exam requirements, and career development opportunities in the aviation sector.

Following the presentation, a Q&A session was held, and the event concluded with a group photo with all participants. This event has provided significant value for EUROAVIA Izmir members in understanding the professional aspects of aviation.

EUROAVIA Izmir – İzeltaş Technical Visit Summary

This month, as EUROAVIA Izmir, we organized a technical visit to the facilities of İzeltaş İzmir Hand Tools Industry and Trade Inc., one of Türkiye’s leading manufacturers in the hand tools sector since 1968.

During the tour, our members observed key production processes on site, including hot forging, heat treatment, machining, coating, automation, and quality control. They gained detailed insights into how high grade steels are processed in hand tool manufacturing, how each step of the production flow is engineered, and how the lines differ depending on the product type.

In addition, participants examined İzeltaş’s broad product range, export network, and the integration of its quality management systems into production, gaining a closer understanding of the company’s industrial manufacturing culture.

This experience has provided significant value for EUROAVIA Izmir members by allowing them to observe real manufacturing environments and explore engineering processes directly in the field.
