November has been a very busy month for EUROAVIA Patras. Most importantly, the First General Meeting took place, during which the board had the chance to present the business plan for 2025 2026.
A few points that were noted include the possible establishment of a “Midterm Report Meeting” between the first and the second General Meetings, allowing the members to keep in touch with everything happening within the local group, and the possibility for the WGs and Projects to continue their work during the months of August to October.
Additionally, the coordinators of each WG and Project presented their goals to the members. The Marketing WG also revealed the brand new mascot of EUROAVIA Patras, “Euπe”, and the first piece of merch, a beautiful t shirt.
After that, we had our first fun night of the business year giving the old and new members the chance to grab a drink and get to know each other.
EUROAVIA Patras also participated in GEN Days 2025 and in the local event “28th Development Forum” which featured discussions on aviation and space.
Later in November, the WGs (HR, BR, Marketing) held their first meetings, started organizing their plans and goals for the business year and of course began training the new members. The BR WG is aiming to sign more sponsorships than ever using the experience and skills the old members gained during the ExMEAC and AMEAC that took place in Patras two months ago. The Marketing WG will have an even more active social media presence, design new merchandise and create a comic, which will be published every month.
As far as the EUROAVIA Patras Projects are concerned, their members also had their first meetings. In particular, Space Mics Podcast, which has already been one of our most exciting projects over the past five years, aims to become even more engaging. In other words, Space Mics Podcast is going live. The new season will include a live show every two weeks creating a home for aerospace enthusiasts where topics of interest will be discussed. The podcast will be primarily in Greek, although there will be some live episodes in English with special guests. So, stay tuned to AS Patras social media.
