It was in 11th grade when I discovered the “Fly a Rocket!” programme organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with Andøya Space and the Norwegian Space Agency. I set the goal of applying to this initiative that brings together university students from across ESA member states to gain hands-on experience in the space industry. So, as soon as I got into college, in my first year of aerospace engineering bachelor’s degree, I accomplished this dream.

Middle East Technical University (METU) was excited to host the 16th Aviation Days, a yearly event organised by the METU Aerospace Society (ODTÜ HUT) that brings together aviation enthusiasts, professionals, and students to explore the limitless opportunities within the aviation and aerospace industries. It is one of the most eagerly awaited gatherings for anyone passionate about flight and innovation.

On October 25th, AS Ankara successfully hosted Space Days, an exciting new that connects aerospace enthusiasts with professionals and leading companies from Turkey’s rapidly growing space industry. The event provided a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing and networking, enabling participants to exchange ideas, gain insights into cutting-edge developments, and explore career opportunities within the industry.

October brings a fresh start for AS Pisa! We kicked off the month with elections for the Local Board, resulting in a fully renewed team, who shared an overview of the events planned for the upcoming year.

Right after the end of the ExMEAC & AMEAC 2024, EUROAVIA Patras started the Academic Year in full swing. The new Local Board took over its responsibilities and began working hard with the first Board Meeting of the year!

October for our association is always the return to routine and, this year it was marked by the start of the Business Year with a new board. First of all, given that the academic year in Seville begins in September, we had to launch a huge marketing campaign in order to raise awareness about EUROAVIA among all the new students.

On Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, EUROAVIA Athens held its highly anticipated Be a EUROAVIAn event at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The event brought together university students interested in aerospace to introduce the inner workings of our local group and the exciting projects we’ve been working on this past year.

On October 24th, 2024, RWTH Aachen hosted a unique event titled “Cosmic Adventures: Astronaut Day,” a gathering that brought together aerospace enthusiasts, industry experts, and students to delve into the future of space exploration.

During the past Business Year, the AS Beograd team had the opportunity to organise the Southeast Europe General Aviation conference – SEGA 2024, with our long-term partner APS Aviation Parts Service. The SEGA conference was held from September 18th to the 20th. The first two days of the conference were hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Belgrade, while the third day took place at the sports airfield Ečka near Zrenjanin.
