On Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, EUROAVIA Athens held its highly anticipated Be a EUROAVIAn event at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The event brought together university students interested in aerospace to introduce the inner workings of our local group and the exciting projects we’ve been working on this past year.
A core highlight of the event was the presentation of both the marketing and technical teams by the founder of EUROAVIA Athens, Dimitris Gouskos. We presented our efforts to increase the visibility of our projects, promote aerospace engineering to the broader student body, and engage sponsors for collaborative opportunities. Meanwhile, the technical team showcased their work on various airplane models, focusing on designs we’ve developed for competitions like the Air Cargo Challenge 2024 (Hermes VI).
Our members shared their work in aircraft development, and attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and get involved. We are very grateful that the Managing Director of ALTAIR Greece, Lazaros Tsioraklidis, who presented us the evolution of aerospace over time and talked about the excellent cooperation we have had. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A, providing further information about our organisation to all interested parties. We would also like to express our gratitude to our sponsors for their contribution to our efforts.
As we continue our mission to foster aerospace knowledge and innovation, we are excited to welcome new members and embark on another successful year. The recruitment period has begun, and it will be finished on the 30th of October. Stay tuned for more exciting projects and workshops!
