AM Cairo: Full Steam Ahead into a New Year
August has been one of the busiest months AM Cairo has seen in a while and in the best possible way. With a new Local Board taking shape, institutional meetings underway, and a packed activity calendar on the horizon, the group is heading into the new business year with real momentum and a great deal of excitement.
After months of transition, AM Cairo is finally in the process of locking in its new Local Board. The restructuring that began following last semester’s graduations is now reaching its conclusion, and we are pleased to say that the incoming Board is shaping up to be a strong and motivated team. A formal announcement is on its way, and we are looking forward to introducing the new faces who will be steering AM Cairo through the year ahead.
In parallel, the Local Board held a meeting with the Student Life head at our university to begin finalising plans for upcoming events on campus. This is a relationship we have been working on strengthening over the past months, and it is great to see it translating into concrete steps. Having institutional backing for our activities makes a real difference, and we are optimistic that the events taking shape through this collaboration will be some of our best yet.
Two highlights are already in the pipeline. First, we are planning a dedicated contribution for university newcomers, a chance to formally welcome new students and introduce them to AM Cairo and EUROAVIA in a more structured setting than the Open House booth we ran last month. Second, and perhaps most anticipated, is a group trip planned for the upcoming weeks. The trip will bring our members together for a programme of activities and friendly competitions — exactly the kind of event that builds team spirit and reminds everyone why they joined in the first place.
With September just around the corner and a new EUROAVIA Business Year approaching, AM Cairo is in a strong position.
