A new year, a new International Board! Say hello to the five people who will drive EUROAVIA forward in 2026-2027. Find out what they study, how their EUROAVIA adventure started, and what they want to build all together.

Meet Tanish Katiyar: President of the International Board
Tanish studies at ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse, where he specialises in Advanced Aerodynamics & Propulsion.
His journey began during his bachelor’s, when he founded EUROAVIA Lyon. During his presidency of the Local Group, they organised EMEAC 2025 in Lyon, where EUROAVIA Lyon officially became an Affiliated Society. In parallel, wanting to get to know other Local Groups, he joined the Affiliated Societies Working Group, which he later went on to coordinate.
Tanish envisions a EUROAVIA that is more closely connected and provides more opportunities for its members. Together with his colleagues on the International Board, he aims to get there by bringing the IB closer to each Local Group, bringing alumni back closer, giving the technical teams a voice through a Technical Community, continuing the international competitions, and strengthening industry partnerships.

Meet Elif Deniz Baran: Vice-President of the International Board
Deniz is in her third year of the Bachelor’s programme in Aerospace Engineering at Izmir University of Economics.
Her EUROAVIA journey began as an Executive Member of AS Izmir, followed by the opportunity to serve as Backup Coordinator of the Press Working Group. She is now serving as Vice-President of the International Board.
Together with the IB team, Deniz’s vision is to foster an inclusive and supportive environment where every member feels valued, empowered and recognised for their contributions. She is excited about the year ahead and all the projects planned, and looks forward to making it a memorable and meaningful experience for the entire EUROAVIA community.
Meet Saad Benaicha: Vice-President of the International Board
Saad is 22 years old and studies Mechanical Engineering at INSA Lyon, France, and Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech, USA. He is currently in the second year of his Master’s studies.
Locally, he was one of the early members of AS Lyon and helped shape EMEAC 2025. He later became President and transformed the Local Group through the creation of a technical team.
Internationally, he worked with the BR WG on Local Group training and sponsor acquisition for the Ideathon and the Dresden Congress. He also represented the association at ILA Berlin and Airspace World.
Saad wants to support our new projects through a structured approach and clear communication. He will focus mainly on the EUROAVIA Conference, the Technical Community, and other new projects such as Workplace and Student AirRace.
This focus will allow him to drive these projects forward while giving the rest of the Board more room to concentrate on sustaining our recurring activities, such as the Board of Coordinators and the Congresses.

Meet Anusha Aravind: Treasurer of the International Board
Anusha is pursuing an MSc in Aerospace Engineering at ISAE-SUPAERO, specialising in Advanced Aerodynamics and Propulsion.
Anusha co-founded EUROAVIA Lyon and served as its Secretary in 2023-24. In 2024-25 she became Treasurer of EUROAVIA Lyon and joined the BR WG as a member, and in 2025-26 she coordinated the BR WG.
As Treasurer, Anusha wants to improve the financial situation of the association. She also aims to create new partnerships with academia and industry, and to make the EUROAVIA Conference a success.
Meet Luigi Ammirabile: Secretary of the International Board
Luigi is currently studying for a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering.
Luigi’s journey started in 2023 when he attended an International Event, the FoWo in Athens, and it was love at first sight for the association! He then attended his first Congress in İstanbul and has never missed one since. He joined his first two Working Groups: AS and BR. After the Congress in Covilhã, he also joined S&B and ETS by attending the TnT. Then came the Congress in which he was first elected: Lyon. At AMEAC 2025 in Patras he started his first mandate as Secretary, and at the most recent Congress in Dresden he was elected for a second one.
Luigi’s goals for this year are simple yet important. He wants to increase the value the association has for its members and beyond. Even more importantly, he wants to lay down a path that future generations of EUROAVIAns can follow, by improving the status of the association this year and leaving the tools to do so to the people who come after.
