Irina Stoican is the International Board President of 2022-2023, experienced trainer and all-time dedicated EUROAVIAn. For this month’s Wingspan Conversations, we are taking a look at her journey in EUROAVIA.
After a first decade of advancements and network reinforcement, from the beginning of the 1970s, EUROAVIA started lacking sponsorships. Companies were not considering investing in EUROAVIA profitable enough, which led to problems in financing the activities of the association. Moreover, the members started losing interest and they were not identifying anymore with the highest principles of the association. Under these circumstances, a period of low activity and engagement commenced, which we can refer to as the “dark years” of EUROAVIA.
Our story continues after the foundation of EUROAVIA in 1959 with the first years of activity. The period from 1960 to 1969 was marked by many important events!
