AS Terrasa May 2026 Updates

Greetings from AS Terrassa! This past semester has been an incredible period of growth, technical learning, and international networking for our Local Group. From organizing hands-on workshops on campus to exploring the heart of the European aerospace industry, our members have been more active than ever.

Our journey toward a more connected network continues, and our recent visit to Toulouse, the true capital of aeronautics, was a major milestone. This trip offered us a deep dive into the industry and allowed us to broaden our horizons beyond our local activities.

During our visit to ISAE-SUPAERO, we had the privilege of touring the campus with the help of Albert, which gave us a firsthand look at how students engage with their associations. A highlight of our trip was meeting the members of AS Toulouse; sharing experiences with them was incredibly enriching and allowed us to better understand the academic and professional landscape in France.

Beyond the university, we explored the Aeroscopia Museum, where we encountered everything from iconic Concorde aircraft to the imposing A400M. We also visited the Cité de l’Espace, where we marvelled at the Ariane rocket and a replica of the James Webb telescope, and even experienced the physical sensation of a 2G launch.

This trip was essential for our growth as it allowed us to connect with the broader aerospace sector in a way that simply isn’t possible from a classroom. It reminded us that the international aspect of EUROAVIA is what makes our community so unique.

However, our growth wasn’t limited to international trips; we also focused heavily on developing practical engineering skills back home.

Also, we successfully held the second edition of our PCB design course this year, which was structured into three sessions. The first session introduced participants to printed circuit boards and the fundamentals of the Altium design software, with the goal of providing the basic knowledge needed to start designing their own boards. The second and third sessions focused on practical application, where students were able to assemble, solder and program their designed PCBs. This edition further strengthened the course’s practical approach, allowing members to gain real experience in electronics design and implementation.

Looking back, these past few months perfectly encapsulate what we strive for at AS Terrassa: a balance of technical knowledge and international fellowship. We are incredibly proud of our members’ dedication and are already looking forward to the new challenges and adventures to come!
