This spring, the skies over Romania’s capital were busier than usual as aerospace students from all corners of Europe touched down for the Electoral Meeting of the EUROAVIA Congress (EMEAC) 2026. Hosting such a prestigious event in Bucharest was not just a challenge; it was an incredible honour and a defining moment for our Local Board.
After months of meticulous planning, late-night meetings, and countless cups of coffee, seeing the famous “EUROAVIA Spirit” come alive in the heart of the “Little Paris” made every second worth it.
Shaping the Future of Aerospace
At its core, EMEAC is about charting the course for the next generation of aerospace professionals. Throughout the congress, the halls of our university buzzed with intense debates, strategic planning, and visionary ideas.
Participants engaged in constructive discussions to update statutes, share International Board best practices, and address the future goals of the association.
We had the privilege of hosting the elections for the new Designated International Board (DIB). Watching the passion and dedication of the candidate E. Deniz Baran reminded us all why this association is so special.
Experiencing Romanian Hospitality
But EMEAC isn’t just about official business, it’s about building lifelong connections. We wanted to make sure our European peers experienced the very best of Romanian culture and hospitality.
When the congress sessions wrapped up, the real adventure began. From exploring the monumental Palace of the Parliament to strolling down the vibrant streets of the Old Town, our guests got a true taste of Bucharest. Of course, no Romanian experience is complete without our traditional cuisine! Sharing plates of Romanian BBQ during the cultural nights sparked conversations and friendships that transcended borders.
