With June came the conclusion of another successful year for EUROAVIA Patras. As the exam period got underway, most Working Groups and Projects wrapped up their activities, giving members the chance to focus on their studies.
By the end of the Business Year, the Working Groups and Projects had successfully achieved the goals they had set at the beginning. In more detail, Marketing WG managed to have a highly active social media presence, showcasing EUROAVIA Patras’ achievements and activities throughout the year, while BR and HR WGs, having built good teams, managed to secure sponsorships and organize company visits, respectively. Additionally, all three Working Groups played a key role in the successful organization of the 9th edition of 20 Minutes of Innovation, the Local Group’s biggest event. At the same time, EUROAVIA Patras’ Projects provided members with learning opportunities, from test flights and competition preparations to interactive podcasts.
The only project that remained active even in June was Atlas – M.ACH, our ACC team. During this month, the team conducted critical test flights on the new UAV, named IRIS, at the Mesologgi Airport and collected important data which helped to tune the design and settings for the final stage of the competition. After two years filled with hard work and dedication from its members, Atlas – M.ACH, in collaboration with the Applied Mechanics Laboratory (AML) of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics at the University of Patras, is now ready to compete in Stuttgart, Germany, entering the challenge with high ambitions and expectations.
In conclusion, June officially marked the end of a highly successful year for EUROAVIA Patras. It was a year full of meetings, events, company visits, and the organization of the ExMEAC & AMEAC back in September. Of course, the Business Year would not have been complete without the fun nights and the countless memories shared between the members, bringing them even closer together.
