Meet Martin De Gaetano, member of the month for May 2026 and a key voice behind Press Working Group (PS WG).
Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I am Martin De Gaetano from AS Napoli. I’ve been a member of the Press Working Group since October 2025.
Explain a bit about the WG. What is your work, and how do you organise the tasks among your members? PS WG is responsible for creating written content for EUROAVIA. Our content varies from interviews to magazines or Aeronautical Blog articles. At the moment, we are all working on the 10th issue of EUROAVIA Magazine, which is a really exciting milestone for us.
Since Press WG is one of the newest Working Groups in EUROAVIA, I’ve tried to help it grow by promoting it across the association and supporting its activities together with our coordinators, Giulia Gemma and Deniz Baran, and all the other WG members.
What keeps you motivated in your WG?
What keeps me motivated is the opportunity to create content, support other members, and help bring EUROAVIA’s stories to life.
Describe the WG in one word.
If I had to describe Press WG in one word, I would choose “storytelling”, because every article, post, and publication is carefully built to represent our association.
How did you feel when you were chosen as Member of the Month?
When I found out I had been selected as Member of the Month, I was actually in a call with my coordinator, Giulia. I was genuinely surprised, and receiving so many congratulations afterwards, it really warmed my heart.
Your favourite thing about EUROAVIA.
My favourite thing about EUROAVIA is the people. Everyone encourages each other to grow, and no matter what you’re working on, you never feel alone.
