Meet Dimitris Carrer, member of the month for June 2026 and the creative force behind our content in the Social Media Working Group (SM WG).

Can you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is Dimitris Carrer, and I am from AS Patras.I’ve been a member of the Social Media WG for about 1.5 years now. I joined right after we hosted AMEAC 2025 in Patras.
Explain a bit about the WG. What is your work, and how do you organise the tasks among your members?
The Social Media WG is responsible for all the content you see across our SM platforms. That means editing, a lot of brainstorming, and coming up with new ideas to promote our association. We’re also the ones bringing you insights from every international event and competition, as well as creating promotional campaigns to keep EUROAVIA visible and engaging.
What keeps you motivated in your WG?
What motivates me most is that you get to actually contribute your own ideas and see them come to life in the content we publish. It’s not just about posting, it’s about creating memories for our members. On top of that, you sometimes get to be the face of the association yourself. For example, at ILA Berlin, I had the chance to join the delegation team as Social Media Representative and showcase the exhibition live to our followers. Getting to travel, meet so many people, and share that experience with our members was truly amazing.

Describe your WG in one word.
If I had to describe Social Media with one word, it would be creativity. It takes constant brainstorming to find new ways to promote EUROAVIA that are both fun and professional at the same time.
What’s your favourite thing about EUROAVIA?
The sense of belonging to something bigger: a family of intelligent, ambitious people who want to do more. The opportunities to travel, attend international events and build connections across Europe are incredible. You learn so much from the people around you, and hopefully, they learn something from you too. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by people with big dreams and the drive to chase them, and the networking and international connections push you one step beyond the usual.
How did you feel when you found out you were chosen as Member of the Month?
Honestly, I didn’t expect it! Funny enough, earlier in the month at ILA I had jokingly said how nice it would be to get this. I manifested it, and then the announcement came. I was genuinely so happy, and I want to thank everyone who believed in me. Before I finish, I’d also like to thank my amazing Social Media Team, I’m truly grateful for the nomination.

Keep dreaming big, and let’s connect and create memories together
